The Scoop on Your Dog & Human Foods

I bet we can all agree that we should not give our dogs human foods.  However, there are some items that you can feed your pet as a tasty treat, meal topper or nutritional supplement to their usual meal.

When we are considering what to give our dog it is wise to opt for whole, unprocessed foods.  These foods should be low in fat, sodium, and sugar.

When choosing meats be sure they are unseasoned and boneless.  Most veterinarians recommend that a dog should only consume an amount of treats making up less than 10% of his or her daily intake.

Below you will find a list of foods to avoid as well as those that are healthy choices.
